Bamboo satin care

You’ve finally taken the plunge and adopted Salomé, and you’re wondering how to care for bamboo satin ? Then welcome !

Washing

Caring for bamboo satin couldn’t be easier !

Wash at low or lukewarm temperatures (between 30°C and 40°C), using a delicate-wash program. Use a mild detergent, without bleach or fabric softener (which can damage the fibers). And above all, don’t overload your machine, to avoid excessive friction !

Bamboo satin care also involves drying

We can’t stress this enough : natural drying is better for your linen, and for the planet ! On the other hand, bamboo satin should be dried away from direct sunlight, as this can cause colors to fade and fibers to become brittle.

If you’re tumble-dryer fan, no problem ! But only if necessary, and only occassionally. Use a gentle or delicate cycle ! And abov all (be prepared for some good advice), take your linen out slightly damp to minimize wrinkling.

What about ironing ?

Bamboo satin does wrinkle a little. You can iron at a low temperature, and on the reverse side to avoid shiny marks.

If bamboo satin isn’t properly cared for, there are a few risks !

Several forms of wear and tear can occur if you don’t look after your bamboo satin properly, but of course, I’ve got advice for you !

2 additional tips :

Pre-wash, as with any other textile range, is super important ! Washing your clothes before their first use will improve their softness and absorbency.

For storage, I advise you to store your linen in a dry, well-ventilated place, to avoid the appearance of mildew (you never know…).

I hope my little tips have given you some insight into the care of bamboo satin, and that you’ve understood the importance of taking good care of it. With the right care, your fabric will retain its softness and elegance for years to come !
